Thank you for using Dottline. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

TLDR:

Dottline does not claim ownership of your data, nor do we sell it to third parties or use it for advertising purposes. Your private notes remain strictly yours, and we will never read or access them without your explicit written or verbal consent.

1. Introduction

We invite you to access our mobile and desktop applications, websites, and services (“Services”). Your use of the Services is subject to your agreement with these Terms and Conditions. This document outlines your rights and our rights regarding the provision of the Services.

By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not access or use our Services.

2. User Content

Content Ownership

Dottline does not claim ownership of your content. You retain full rights over your content. However, Dottline owns all rights, titles, and interests in the Services and its associated intellectual property (excluding user content).

Rights You Grant to Dottline

By using the Services, you grant Dottline a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, modify (for formatting purposes only), and share your content based on the permissions you set.

Responsibility for User Content

  • You are solely responsible for your content and warrant that:
  • You own or have the necessary rights to share your content.
  • Your content does not infringe on any third-party rights.

Content Visibility

3. Spaces

Content in the Services is organized into Spaces, which include:

  • Personal Spaces: Only accessible by the creator.
  • Shared Spaces: Accessible by multiple users.

You may work across multiple Spaces, but content cannot be linked between them (though it can be copied or exported).

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Some Services require a paid subscription.

Billing Cycles

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or yearly) unless canceled. Payments are processed through the Stripe.

Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel subscriptions via the Stripe at any time. No refunds are provided for the current billing cycle.

Free Trials

Free trials may convert into paid subscriptions unless canceled before the trial period ends. Dottline reserves the right to modify or cancel free trials at any time.

5. Fees and Fee Changes

Dottline may modify subscription fees, providing reasonable notice before changes take effect. Continued use after the change constitutes agreement to the new fees.

6. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

7. Restrictions on Use

You may not:

  • Upload illegal, offensive, or infringing content.
  • Reverse engineer or tamper with the Services.
  • Use the Services for unauthorized or harmful activities.

Dottline reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Dottline retains all rights to its Services, branding, and technology. Users may not use our trademarks without permission.

9. Feedback

By submitting feedback to Dottline, you grant us the right to use it without compensation or obligation.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

Dottline may contain links to third-party sites. We do not endorse or take responsibility for third-party content or services.

11. Termination of Service

Dottline may suspend or terminate accounts due to violations of these Terms, technical issues, or legal requirements. Users will generally receive a 30-day notice unless legally restricted.

12. Limitation of Liability
